Cabinet Of Curiosities

Cabinet of Curiosities is a place where art is examined through multiple lenses: viewer, practitioner, patron, professional. Art is universal and impacts our lives and communities in ways that we are often not even aware of and is where our collective histories intersect. Topics include reviews of art exhibitions, museum visits, interviews, book reviews, and reactions to current events in the local, national and international art and museum communities. Above all else, it is a place to express and share my ardor for the transformational power of art and the sharing of our collective histories.

I developed and co-managed the Beach Museum's first artist in residence program, Open A.I.R., which supports socially engaged artists.A dedicated GLAMazon, I hosted campus Wikipedia editathons, connected K-State instructors with training on integrating Wikipedia into curricula, and advised students creating digital humanities archives related to the museum's collection. I also coordinated special events for K-State units, departments, and groups that incorporated the museum's collection and featured exhibitions.
