My fondest memories are the ones of situations that caused me to adopt novel perspectives. When I reflect upon my post-undergraduate life, I realize that my moments of failure have been the most formative moments of my life.It was two years after graduating from UCLA that I decided to part ways with my injury-plagued military ambitions and venture into the world of startups. My original plan had been to join a special operations unit, and I had trained relentless for over six years before seeing it all evaporate before my eyes with an un-rectifiable injury. But with a dose of the irony that life often serves us, my years of adhering to a lifestyle centered around intensive training and a healthy lifestyle left me with a ready-made business idea: mushroom-based health products.I’ve always been passionate about health and wellness and the positive impact it can have on peoples lives. So, I recently started Balanced Tiger to combine adaptogenic mushrooms – ancient superfoods that can boost energy levels, sharpen focus, and enhance immune response – with something most people already know and love: protein bars. By collaborating with some of the world’s most reputable food scientists, we’ve created a product that’s delicious, nutrient-dense, and most importantly, convenient. Today, as Balanced Tiger expands, I'm positive that I can translate my passion for health into positive impact.
