I played a key role in a project to migrate infrastructure monitoring technology. I was part of the team responsible for migrating the "CA Unified Infrastructure Manager 8.2" system to "Zabbix 6.0," bringing substantial improvements throughout the process. I actively participated in the system transition, utilizing tools such as Ansible and Jenkins to automate the compilation of Zabbix agents on thousands of Linux servers with different versions, addressing specific environment requirements.I also used Vault to ensure data security and confidentiality, preventing access passwords from being exposed in configuration files. Shell Scripting was employed to automate the task of extracting information from the legacy monitoring system, adapting it, and creating it in the new system (mostly through APIs). I developed shell scripts to integrate the new monitoring system (Zabbix) with the client's internal ITSM system (Remedy) using SOAP API.Additionally, I utilized Grafana to create custom dashboards and visualize real-time metrics. This experience allowed me to contribute to a migration that resulted in enhanced operational efficiency, extensive visibility, incident response capabilities, and a more robust and scalable monitoring environment.
