Civil Engineer, Project Manager, responsible for the following projects implementation on a mining plant: tailings dams, waste pile infrastructure (underdrain and starting dyke), raising of a dam for water supplying, building a new shop for the mine equipments, and the construction of an energy system, formed by a 33km transmission line in 345 kV, derived from another line by a switch substation and a transforming substation (345/138kV).Works involved monitoring and guiding of contractors, staff, and stakeholders through the entire process of planning, construction, start-up and operation of Samarco´s projects. Knowledge of construction systems, scheduling, costs, and contracts and is accountable for overall project construction budget and cost control was necessary.Besides that, it was also the duty of the function the management of a team of Engineers in regards to all aspects of construction management including planning, scheduling, contractor selection, contract evaluation, cost estimation, cost schedule, supply chain strategy, risk management, safety, and the logistical mobilization of a third party workforce.The main responsibilities included:- Managing site engineering projects and construction;- Managing and conducting negotiations with stakeholders and contractors;- Interfacing with industry area and engineering in defining and executing projects;- Providing technical support, coordinating tasks for designers;- Responsible for planning, organization and monitoring of projects;- Leadership of engineering team / project delivery;- Work with mine management to ensure operations taking steps to prepare itself to operate new facilities;- Ensure EH&S corporate objectives are embodied in Project design and development activities;- Deliver construction projects within defined time frames and budgets.
