Geotechnical Project Management
CurrentProjects and contracts management applied to Geotechnical Engineering, mainly for Mining (e.g. waste pile, tailings dams, drained stacking, etc.) in order to use the best practices and quality assurance through planning, control and monitoring of technical activities for the project development, design solution definition, analysis of physical arrangements, technical visits, monitoring the production schedule, as well as coordination of team work, guiding, evaluating and analyzing actions, aiming at greater speed and quality in customer service.Skills & Responsibilities:- Technical direction of tailings design studies and related analyses;- Liaising with specialists from other disciplines or offices within Pimenta de Ávila Consultoria;- Providing recommendations in area of tailings and mine waste management to clients;- Providing technical guidance and mentoring for staff in the tailings team and reviewing their project work;- Providing senior technical input to project teams and ensuring that appropriate technical standards are developed and maintained;- Maintaining effective client relationships and generating consulting business by building and maintaining business networks;- Guiding and supporting technical staff in their development, including their technical skills; and providing feedback;- Discussing the technical staff work progress on a regular and interactive basis;- Identify and lead project opportunities and pursuits;- Support the Sales Team in preparing and negotiating contracts, interpreting the contract language, reviewing customer contracts of business requirements;- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specifications, and reports, including day-to-day correspondence;- Manage and/or review projects from the proposal stage through to completion, including allocation of budgets, personnel and resources, billing and client relationships.
