Pursuing my career in phones 4u as a manager I was quickly promoted from Deputy Manager to running my own store as General Store Manager and I had completed Phones 4u's Management Development Programme. As a manager, my role was to manage and coach a team in a busy sales environment. My main responsibilities were meeting store targets and KPIs, making sure everything was compliant, from stock and security to cash and health and safety. I would train and coach the sales team in both individual and group sessions. I would give both morning briefs and debriefs, this helps motivate the team, know exactly where they were with their personal targets and know what was needed for the day ahead. NPS was key, so I would always make sure customer service was always first. One achievement I am proud of is turning Scotlands quietest shop around, taking it from the bottom of the KPI league in Scotland to finish at the top position.
