• Supervise and manage a team of fifteen (15) technical and administrative staff• Manage individual and team performance of the Household Survey Business Unit; Staff through the performance management system• Develop the business and operational plan for the Household Survey Business Unit• Plan for the conduct and reporting of household surveys and business register including field procedures and management practices• Organize and direct operations with regard to conducting of household surveys according to the implementation plan and statistical standards• Identify and facilitate the development of Business Unit staff competencies in relation to agreed performance expectations• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure client needs are met; Monitor group and individual response rates, error rates and other quality checks• Measure achievement of the Household Survey Business Unit to determine whether contributions are consistent with the Divisions corporate goals as set out in the Corporate Business Plan• Monitor the operating and capital expenditure of the Household Survey Business Unit every quarter to ensure priority allocation and utilization according to the Division’s needs; prioritize and maximize benefits and ensure that expenditure is within budgetary allocation

• Evaluate draft Census tables and highlight possible inconsistencies • Prepare Tables with historical data and highlight trends• Carry out basic analysis on the various tables produced• Draft write-ups relating to various tables and the analysis carried out • Provide possible explanations to the findings• Carry out literature research and review under the supervision of the Census Advisor• Ensure International Standards are followed in the repost preparation• Assist in the compilation of the 15 Provincial Profiles for fertility, mortality, education, employment and migration
