I have been focussed on green and sustainable investment since joining the UK Green Investment Bank in 2013, acquired by Macquarie in 2017. In a leading role in Macquarie's Green Investment Group (GIG), which later integrated into Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), the world's largest infrastructure asset manager, I helped structure and raise green investment funds to channel billions of dollars of private capital into companies, assets and projects that contribute to our global transition to environmental sustainability.As GIG's Head of Green Analytics, I was responsible for team's application of our robust green impact assessment, monitoring and reporting approach across all global investments, as well as reponsible for managing all environmental, social & governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. I also had senior ESG advisory responsibilities across MAM and Macquarie Group on transition and impact-aligned investing strategies.I developed our green ratings and impact evaluation approach and have advised third party investors on structuring green investment funds and instruments, and developing and implementing ESG frameworks. I'm proud to have helped promote a diverse and inclusive working environment, and also contribute to developing the wider sustainable finance sector through various roles in green finance standardisation, technical knowledge sharing, and sustainability skills development.My career background is in environmental science: I joined the UK GIB following a secondment from WSP Environment & Energy, where I had led Environmental Impact Assessment and construction environmental management for grid infrastructure and on- & offshore wind projects.
