The annual SAE Aero Design competition requires teams to design and build a remote controlled airplane capable of flying at altitude, drop a package onto a target, and display real time telemetry. In this team, I designed the shape and construction method of a unique wing, which totaled 11 feet in length. I also took a leadership role in the creation, editing, and finalizing of the CAD files using SolidWorks.

This on-campus, completely student run club seeks to cultivate ideas and create businesses by bringing together students with STEM backgrounds and students with business backgrounds. I was a founding member and first Vice-President, serving as a technical adviser. I helped students develop product ideas, designs, and prototypes using CAD software and a 3D printer that I maintained.

Research began with the compilation of literature review of various harvesting techniques. Next several methods of collection were designed and created using CAD models and 3D printing techniques. The harvesters were tested as an array for energy collection in broad frequency and amplitude range with the goal to power a wireless sensor network .
