Dedicated climate change, water and sustainable development professional with 13+ years’ experience in the design and delivery of policies, strategies, and projects in the areas of industrial decarbonization, climate change, urban water infrastructure, freshwater management, regional planning, energy systems, agroforestry, public health, and community development in the United States, New Zealand, Ethiopia, Australia, and South Africa.Currently leading the development of industrial policy at the recently launched cap and invest program in Washington State, one of the most ambitious climate policies in the US. Previously worked on climate policy and the Natural Resources Budget at the Ministry for the Environment in New Zealand, as well as national policies to improve the sustainable management and use of water, land and urban water infrastructure. This included delivering advice to senior Government politicians and executive leaders, and leading policy and project teams. Strongly motivated to support governments, businesses, and communities develop enduring solutions to complex environmental management and sustainable development issues and to support the transition towards carbon-neutral economies. Expertise in climate policy and finance, water resources, food and energy systems, and urban planning and environmental management policy frameworks along with strong skills in policy design and implementation, program/project management, strategic planning, funding and financing, and leading teams.
