Tungsten is a strategic industrial metal required in a wide variety of products from electronic circuitry to jet turbine engines and surgical instruments.My role here was to work closely and effectively with geology and engineering teams in order to complete weekly and monthly productions plans and reports, and to provide geological technical support for engineering design and planning.My responsibilities here included…- Underground mapping on a daily basis, scoring drift adjustments, ore grade and dilution control.- Planning and implementing the underground Diamond Drill program which included oversight of the logging and cutting of core.- Data collection and modeling of new ore zones using both preexisting diamond drill information and projections from current mapping and sampling.- Daily use of MineSight, AutoCAD, Access and Excel to track both short and long term data processing and planning procedures.
