In Jan 2024 I have joined the 24/7 DBAs team at Lufthansa Systems; moved from "postgres only" to ingres and other dbms; from a "gps field" to "aviation". In my daily work I am still working in linux shell on multiple servers, using bash and SQL.

Working in the remote infrastructure, using linux cmd, PostgreSQL / PostGis database, Postman, and Excel with different types of data and sources, as well DBeaver w/ OpenStreetMap, and for coop. using YouTrack.With my understanding of the original design, data, processes, and general computing, I rejoined the team at SV (assisting engineers in projects relating to research and development, as well as in post-development activities like implementation and operation), and a voice for the customers experiencing technical issues. As my analytical thinking abilities were proved in data analysis, I took on the work of a Data/System analyst.

After returning to Poland, I started my own undertaking in photography and video. From capturing the frames on location, through careful development, to delivering high quality media material, where the moment captured, together with the light and colours, results in a work that is good and pleasant to look at.-- It's been a pleasure for me to work with families and make fine art prints, as well as to prepare thoughtful video slideshows. However, in May 2019 this became my after-hours pursuit (as time allows), as I went back to help the team at the previous tech company I worked for. --

I was involved in the work among vulnerable youth and children for several years, before leaving Poland to work full time in a cross-cultural context, in Jan 2007. Apart from the drama, the waste, and the overwhelming needs, there were glimpses of life, deep thinking, a lot of hidden potential, and at least for some, big changes. I was there to listen, to help with food and with access to health care, to find shelter solutions, and to stand for, as well as to link with a community of people that care.I am aware of the great needs around, as well as of the difficulties that are often faced when outside of the Western world.

In Jan 2002 I joined a proposal of coming along to build up a system of fleet management (using industrial GPS modules, creating our own devices and software). From planning, prototyping, testing, first implementations, through taking care of algorithms, working with programmers, outsourcing electronic assembly, troubleshooting, to adding new options and improving the system. From the idea to the finished product / service, that today is still up and running.-- Before venturing into this full time project, first I held a job of an office worker, then helping other small businesses keeping their computers and networks alive. --
