About Adrián Trinidad
I support the California Community College by building racial equity resources through partnerships with system leaders, researchers, funders, and advocacy organizations. This work operates in the nexus between research and practice, with the ultimate goal of creating more racially just spaces within the community colleges. Current work includes advancing a new model that centers racial equity, an academy that focuses on diversifying community college faculty by preparing graduate students of color, and leading a racial equity leadership alliance of 47 partnering community colleges in California. Before this role, I was a researcher at the Center for Urban Education, where I facilitated professional development experiences that focused on equity-mindedness within community colleges. This includes using data to facilitate largescale institutes, campus workshops, and long-term partnerships with campuses to facilitate conversations about equity in community colleges and create policy and practice changes. Before USC, I am a proud Beaver, having an associate’s degree from Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. My colleagues would describe me as a compassionate, resourceful individual who seeks out opportunities to center the experiences and voices of students of color. Demonstrated experience and/or competency in the following areas: transfer equity, developmental education reform, guided pathways, policy implementation, management, leadership, and equity-mindedness.
Listed skills include Statistical Data Analysis, Quantitative Research, Critical Thinking, Qualitative Research, and 17 others.
