Soon after joining, I managed a team of 5, across areas such as content, graphic design, social media, email marketing, and promotional collateral.

I also participated in departmental projects, such as a brand refresh, including visual and sonic branding, messaging review, and developing buyer personas.

My role involved planning and executing communications through various channels such as email, social media, and push notifications, as well as managing the blog and SEO efforts. I worked cross-functionally with the product and customer success teams, to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with the overall goals and objectives of the company. I also supported a project to migrate into a new email marketing platform. Being situated in the wider Product team, I gained a good understanding of the product development process and how marketing can support it.

I was promoted to the E-communications executive role where I took ownership of email marketing strategy and worked closely with other departments, such as the film buying and retail teams to ensure alignment on featuring relevant products and promotions. I was part of the product department where I had an opportunity to contribute to projects such as building and testing a new website and app. I also worked with the development team on building an in-house email platform for transactional emails and led a project to replace the CRM and marketing platforms.
