Acting Engineering Manager for Webster Street Level Crossing Removal

NWPA - Webster Street LXRP - Development Team- Optioning bridge strategies- Construction sequencing and planning of occupation and offline works including CFA piling and integral bridge deck. - Initial structures construction sequencing, programing and high level cost planning - Structures and Rail interface review including signal sighting

- Planning and execution of mass and detailed earthworks, bulk cut to fill, drill and blast and road construction including drainage- Oversaw subcontractor operations for 30,000m2 of on-site pavement stabilization.- Managed the diversion of Burra Creek and installation of a Box Culvert – effectively navigated site limitations to prevent financial overruns due to weather conditions and unsuitable materials.- Management of material crushing and review of QA for use and placement- Acted as the authoritative figure during the PD/PM absence, making critical site-related decisions and liaising with the owner, client, and subcontractors.

• Planning and execution of mass earthwork cut to fill, RMS road construction Including drainage, creek diversion and Box Culvert installation• 20000LM Soil nails, rock bolts and shotcrete in Bulk rock Excavation; Drill and Blast experience • Prepare and execute subcontractor packages.• Person In charge during PD/PM absence with regard to site directions and decisions involving owner, client and subcontractor management• Review subcontractor variations and monthly claims.• Review, revise and create construction method statements, safety Hazard/controls documents (SWMS/JHAs), permits, quality documents (ITPs) and staging of works for submission to client.• Review and report monthly costings and programme to Project Director.• Prepare and submit claims and variations to client for review and approval.• Prepare and manage programme schedules with Project Planner.• Plan and organise construction activities with site engineers, project engineers, Leading hands, foreman and Superintendent.• Implement and manage handover process to client for site works.• Prepare and manage site RFI’s and NCR’s as required for the works

• Bridge 81 planning and execution of Works Including Pile cap construction, Precast column erection, stress bar installation, crosshead FRP • Planning of super tee and Plank installation including cranage + Logistics Strategies/optimization• Bored and driven piling management including large dia. Piles under fluid and DIIP steel tube piling• Subcontractor and Intercompany liaising and management for Temporary works, equipment, procurement, and resources.• Management of subcontractors involved in production of Insitu elements• Subcontractor liaising for document and design deliverables• Construction of pavement and Access Road including asphalt to VicRoads Spec• Enabling Civil works including Service relocations and Drainage installation.• Bridge 85 planning and execution of Works Including demolition of exisiting pedestrian bridge, under rail pressurised sewer crossing and new temporary walkway all under various rail occupations

• Worked on projects on several Defence sites covering a range of scope incl. asbestos removal, building refurbishments, road improvements and new builds• Stakeholder engagement enabling appropriate and purpose-driven communications with all relevant stakeholders. • Contractor management from award to handover/takeover closeout• Value-add in correspondence for a stakeholder-heavy program of works• Project management on multiple jobs ranging in value up to 15M

Part of a two man structures team working with the civil earthworks team to co-ordinate construction and completion of foundations.

• Project Management in Quebec, Canada – specifically taking over management of all RE wall contracts on NBSL; this includes Top to bottom management from design and precast production to all commercial and contractual matters – Projects ranging from 400K to 3.2M • Adaptation to inflexible durability and design standards, the standards on NBSL entail some of the most stringent durability conditions ever required in North America • Supplier, Client, Subcontractor and Intercompany liaising and management • Management of production of precast panels with BPDL (Bétons Préfabriqués Du Lac) – including panel planning, casting, tracking, QA/QC etc. • Schedule management and client liaising for design and supply deliverables (Drawing submission, RE wall precast panels, wall components, equipment etc.) • Concept and design understanding to enable problem solving and troubleshooting

Moving to the Canada I reentered the Engineering side of the industry and reported to both the Operations and General Manager and took on responsibilities including:• Project Engineering on various jobs in Canada – sent to mobilize and perform initial stressing and grouting• Lead Estimator on Jobs <2M• Supplier, Client and intercompany liaising and management• Schedule management for projects <5M (cement, strand, components, equipment etc)• Concept and design understanding to enable problem solving and troubleshooting

Moving to the Sydney head office to take on the Procurement Manager roll I reported to the Operations Manager and took on responsibilities including:• International and Nationwide procurement of standardized and specialized goods including sourcing and price negotiations• International Importing and national logistics• Tender pricing and price negotiations• Supplier, Client and intercompany liaising and management• Schedule management for large projects (cement, strand, etc)• Concept and design understanding to enable problem solving and troubleshooting• Procurement procedure over hall and implementation of purchasing systems

While still reporting to the Project Engineers and Precast Manager, as a Site engineer I took on more responsibility and along with my previous tasks I now had responsibilities including:• Precast factory daily management, involving day to day ordering, stock monitoring, production and problem solving • Panel management including but not limited to defects register and production sheets• People management including Client interaction and liaising and Labourer supervision • Precast factory daily production planning• Slab on grade pre pour checks and hold point sign offs

Reporting to the Project Engineers and Precast Manager I was in Tasked with:• Post pour Qualitative analysis and inspection of precast elements including RE wall panels, Pier segments, crossheads, ramp segments.• Reinforcement takeoffs for tender and production • Post tensioning takeoffs for tender.
