Motive's logistics division: One Point Logistics is a multi-modal logistics solutions provider who offers LTL, TL, Refrigerated, Intermodal, and Specialized capacity. One Point Logistics has partnered with Motive in order to bring a unique solution offering to the 3PL space.Motive is a Silicon Valley based company that offers an ELD and Fleet Management software with hardware integration for asset carriers. Motive now has 250,000+ trucks on the road on-boarded with our product offering. One Point Logistics in conjunction with Motive will now be able to combine both offerings by bringing an unprecedented layer of visibility and transparency to the traditional brokerage model. All loads moving on our carriers, outfitted with our Motive hardware/software, will now be able to provide real time tracking, visibility to hours of service left for the driver, carrier safety & service scores, and warehouse insights to all the facilities our carriers interact with. We are also able to offer load matching services to our carriers by having our shipper's available freight display on their Motive dashboard making spot freight more efficient and seamless helping drive down overall shipper's cost.Unfortunately Motive closed down their 3PL division dissolving 3 offices and hundreds of jobs. Motive continues on as a hardware and software based organization.

In addition to managing my book of business, I mentor new sales reps on both the sales process and internal CRM software.

The purpose of this cross-disciplinary project is to examine how genetic, family, community, child care provider, cultural, and media factors contribute to the development of childhood weight imbalance, obesity, health behaviors, and health beliefs. Findings will serve as the basis for obesity prevention and intervention programs. The research team includes investigators from the following disciplines: Communication, Human and Community Development, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Kinesiology and Community Health; Social Work; Medicine, and the University of Illinois Extension. The study sample includes 400 preschool- aged children enrolled in child care programs and their families in small urban communities in Illinois. All families complete an extensive panel survey; height, weight, and saliva samples also are collected from the children enrolled in the study.This project is unique in that it provides extensive opportunities for undergraduate students to be involved in a large-scale research effort. Student teams deliver surveys to child care centers, collect height, weight and saliva samples from children, participate in home observations, and assist in data entry. They complete background readings and literature searches and gain experience in project coordination.
