- Overall technical coordination of rural electrification planning activities (data collection and analysis, simulations) and on-the-job training of Ministry staff to learn how to use the rural electrification planning decision aid tool developed by IED (GEOSIM).- Coordination of feasibility studies for renewable energy projects (hydro, biomass and hybrid PV/diesel) and contribution to economic & financial analyses, as well as follow-up on financing sources for identified projects (including carbon finance).

Specification and development of a GIS-based decision aid software for rural electrification planning (GEOSIM - www.geosim.fr/en/).
