Aura Lab est une entreprise dont la mission est de créer des outils pour les laboratoires photo argentiques, afin d'assurer la pérennité de leur activité et de celle de la pratique de la photo argentique.Aura Lab développe actuellement Aura 35, une solution de numérisation moderne de pellicules 35mm conçue sur mesure pour les besoin des laboratoires modernes. Cette solution vient remplacer un matériel vieillissant et qui commence à présenter un risque à la productivité des laboratoires. Nous souhaitons ainsi proposer un matériel de qualité aux professionnels de la photo argentique ainsi que des services pour les accompagner au quotidien.

I am giving prototyping classes to engineering students at ECE Paris. I have rewritten the syllabus to turn this course into a bridge between many topics that the students have so far studied independently, to use them all to create a functional prototype of a smart sensor for grain storage monitoring. This class has the students start by prototyping on a breadboard with an ESP32 devkit, from where software is written to interface with sensors and send the data to a MQTT broker and display it on a dashboard. The students then turn this proof of concept into a proper functional prototype, through learning how to design PCB's with Kicad and a soldering workshop. The final topic of this class targets manufacturing, by introducing the students to manufacturing methods and strategies and design for manufacturing (DFM). They will design electronics enclosures for the project to be 3D-printed by following manufacturability guidelines.Teaching this class and having the opportunity to write its syllabus is an opportunity for me to reconnect and give back to my engineering school, by sharing the knowledge I have gathered since I have started working as R&D engineer at Nation Photo.

My work at Nation Photo revolves mainly around our project to create a new photographic film scanner, targeting labs and institutions. As film is coming back to the spotlight, we can not do with outdated scanning solutions anymore and we are on our way to change this for our industry.My other responsibilities at Nation Photo include the creation and maintenance of software and hardware tools for daily use at the lab, as well as maintenance of legacy equipment when replacements are no longer available.

I have joined NomiCam for this internship that revolved around image quality assessment and tuning. NomiCam works closely with their clients to deliver accurate measurements and provide them with the best possible image quality for their application in smartphones, drones, videoconferencing, etc.I have performed IQ measurements and some mechanical engineering to build parts and devices for various projects.NomiCam has since merged with Amazon's Ring Imaging team.

During this internship, I have joined the LAAS-CNRS team working with Nox Storage to come up with an innovative multi-sensor solution to monitor grain harvest storage.Nox makes "big bags" with CO2 atmosphere conditioning for agricultural storage and this project's goal is to automate the monitoring and alert users in real-time of the condition of their product using embedded IOT technologies.During this internship, I was able to define requirements for an MVP and create a prototype that included a physical connected device and a web-based service for data gathering and analysis. This prototype was then tested with Nox Storage and provided the results that were expected from it, demonstrating the feasibility of the project with these technical choices and showing a number of potential improvements and new useful features to add.

InnovAbeille is a 220 man-hour engineering school project. We aim at helping companies to implement an environmental policy by putting connected hives on their roofs and involving employees through personalized workshops. The benefits and SROI are measured along the process to fine-tune the experience. We ranked 2nd at Capgemini's Coup2Boost contest in 2019 and 3rd at Berger Levrault's City'Zen Challenge in 2020 and got insightful mentorship from both companies to take this project to the next level. My role is to gather sensor data and create the data pipeline from our connected hives to our database to monitor their health in semi-real-time. We use temperature and weight sensors and monitor how many bees enter and exit the hive. The data is logged and sent through the SigFox network to our central server for processing. I also help with gamifying the teaching and team-building processes for companies.

The main focus of this internship was to help sorting and inventoring the company's spare parts and cameras into their new digital inventoring system. I have also had the occasion to help with partnership projects, social media management, camera repair and more. This has been a great experience to discover the field of analog photography from the perspective of a main actor, instead of a consumer. It has also been an eye-opening summer to discover life in Finland with locals.

This internship in the stationery aisle of the Cultura flagship store was the perfect occasion for me to discover what it is like to work in retail and sales. It was an experience that I wanted to have to discover a field that I knew little about. I had the opportunity to do customer reception, stocking, markup and cashing, all within the stationery aisle. I also took part in preparing sales and inventory which taught me how to manage intense workloads with a short deadline.

During this experience, I was in charge of developping the company's website from scratch using Jekyll for easy content management following the needs of the company. It helped me reinforce web design and programming skills.
