Constructed a system for measuring forecast accuracy using limited/basic tools. An Excel pivot table was created to display information on micro and macro levels for MAPE, MAD, over/under forecasts, Percent of IOQ, Absolute error, etc… All of these metrics had weighted and unweighted values which could be displayed in table or graph formats. This let the forecasting team quickly identify and improve their forecasting methods.Managed forecasting for over 3,000 active SKUs in fourteen countries across eight product categories.Performed end of life analyses for discontinuing or transitioning products to optimize rollover and reduce excess inventory.

Created a statistical forecast model for products based on run rates and top line revenue forecasts. This enabled the supply chain team to quickly identify inventory situations such as overstocking or sell outs and when they were expected to occur. Historically this had been a difficult endeavor due to the companies rapid growth and lack of enterprise resource planning software (ERP).The result was an easy to understand Excel document featuring stock out dates, available inventory, expected excess, receipt dates, etc… Multiple departments had access to the document thus providing them with information necessary to perform their duties.Analyzed promotional activities for overall effectiveness and interdepartmental effects. This permitted the marketing, finance, and product development teams to make informed decisions moving forward.

Developed systems for analyzing contributions of individual products and categories. Researched and presented findings of quarterly industry trends and product innovations. This aided product development in their creation process, enabling them with data and new ideas.

Springville Utah

Oversaw the entire household product lineup which included laundry detergents, fabric softeners, hard surface cleaners, and dish detergents. This included working with foreign and domestic markets to develop product collateral, formulas, and packaging.The main objective was a complete overhaul of the existing household product lineup. The incumbent products had outdated formulas and lacked marketing claims inline with current consumer preferences. My team and I developed five product reformulations and three entirely new products as part of the overhaul. The results were products that had a unified message around safety for consumers and the environment while improving efficacy and claims. The packaging was changed to transparent bottles and labels capitalizing on packaging trends and tying back into the transparency theme of consumer's purchases. Everything for the products changed from formula efficacy and packaging to claims and collateral, energizing the entire product category.

Springville Utah

Worked with brand managers in the conception and implementation of products. Much of this was centered around market research in determining appropriate pricing structures as well as broad market trends both domestic and foreign.

Created and disseminated informational and promotional content used to boost engagement and membership of the organization in local chapters and state conferences. Helped organize and lead state and chapter level meetings along with leadership and competitive events.

Aided the College of Applied Science and Technology (COAST) in the creation of both internal and external marketing materials. Produced newsletters in digital and printable formats, created and maintained various social media channels, and maintained the colleges webpage with up to date information.
