Founded this business to engage leaders, build coalitions and shape social policy to achieve gender equity. Recent clients projects include a gender-based analysis of evaluation frameworks for United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 2 (food security and sustainable agriculture). This research reviewed gender-based indicators to appraise access to resources and to identify structural elements--institutions, social values, practices and norms--that support gender inequality. This project also examined capacity-building strategies and systems for collecting gender-based statistics and shaping responsive policies to promote women's economic opportunity, political participation, education and health.

Initiated and guided first fund development plan for this progressive, nationally recognized Jewish organization. Launched a major donor program yielding a 32 percent increase in overall donations in its first year. Provided ongoing strategic consultation regarding board of directors' development and major donor program expansion.

Led private sector engagement strategy for this membership organization supporting Washington’s global development sector. Supervised research and assessment of database profiling over 400 Washington businesses vested in international development. Prioritized businesses for inclusion in Global Washington roundtable and advisory board.

Pioneered local implementation of a national model begun in Seattle, Chicago and Boston to ensure all children have access to quality programs beyond school hours. Funded new after-school and summer programs serving over 4000 Seattle immigrant and refugee children. Galvanized community leadership, partnered with advocacy groups, and drafted legislation which leveraged over $10 million for Washington’s out-of-school time system. Presented initiative's findings to national and local policy makers including U.S. Congress members and the National Governor’s Association. Facilitated implementation of this collaborative, systemic change model in twelve U.S. cities. Managed interagency staffing group and advisory board. Organized formal outcomes-based evaluation of the Seattle initiative's activities. Managed this project’s $1 million budget.

Facilitated statewide planning process for this public-private partnership to prevent child abuse. Directed stakeholder meetings across Washington State to identify community priorities for child well-being and strategies to prevent child abuse. Produced policy brief for the Washington State Legislature analyzing meeting outcomes and recommending policy directions to strengthen families and reduce harm to Washington’s children.

Researched and assessed service delivery strategies for inner-city child abuse prevention programs. Collected data for annual nationwide survey assessing rates of child abuse and neglect, child abuse fatalities and changes in the funding and scope of child welfare services.

Organized technical assistance to economically disadvantaged communities in Central Appalachia to address their public health concerns. Developed public health internships for college and graduate students to work in these communities. Recruited, trained and supervised 35 interns working on health care issues. Raised $50,000 in funds through grant-writing and mail solicitation.
