My nursing career of thirty-seven years is colorful and well rounded. As a new nurse I was determined to find my niche, which led me to a wonderful array of opportunities. My experiences as a team leader on an adolescent behavioral health unit, and then as the director of nursing at a behavioral health center, were most impactful, in that they allowed me to realize and develop excellent leadership and team building skills. I eventually found my niche as a field nurse care manager at my local health department, which prepared me for Heart Failure case management at United Healthcare, where I successfully obtained my certification in 2016. I have thrived and excelled as a nurse case manager for the past fifteen years. My work ethic is strong, my communication and organizational skills are exceptional, and my fellow colleagues would describe me as a team player to no end.
