I learned early on in my life that what motivates me is creative problem solving. I was exhilarated in grade school when tasked with figuring out how to mail myself an egg in the lightest package possible and not have it break before being delivered (which I won). I have always approached activities and responsibilities with well-thought-out solutions based in thorough analysis and gaining detailed knowledge of all the pertinent facts.As a results-oriented, self-starter whose drive and sense of urgency are tempered and disciplined by a concern for the accuracy and quality of the work, I have had the pleasure of being asked to join the Leadership and Executive teams as strategic communicator. In this post, I managed to organize the initiatives of our executive leaders and drive forth development and implementation of companywide programs and projects. These initiatives spanned from training and development to policy to business reorg/redesign to employee morale.I wore many hats at my most recent company. I worked with cross-functional teams to develop imaginative and venturesome new business ideas. I project managed 3 full-scale restaurant concepts in partnership with Nordstrom (which have opened in Manhattan, Nordstrom’s largest venture yet). Having a great passion for training and development, I have also dedicated myself to creating and implementing strategies to strengthen the skills of multiple manager teams in leadership, coaching, and innovating next stages in their careers.
