- Monitor patterns, prevalence and trends, conduct surveillance and evaluate healthcare associated infections using epidemiologic principles by review and interpretation of microbiology, laboratory and diagnostic reports and medical records and initiate appropriate control measures in collaboration with the epidemiologist. - Work closely with government organizations (MoPH, CDC,etc) in monitoring and preventing communicable diseases; collaborate and actively participate in infection control awareness campaigns Qatar-wide- Serve as key educator to staff, patients and families regarding infection control policies and procedures and is a facilitator in addressing and correcting identified problem within the system, sites and units.- Responsible for reviewing and updating infection control policies in conjunction with the Infection Control Committee- Assess healthcare personnel/environment for compliance with infection control policies and procedures by conducting infection control and interdepartmental rounds, evaluation and review of medical equipment and supplies; including cleaning, sterilization and disinfection techniques throughout the facility.- Perform Infection Control Risk Assessments and monitor all construction and demolition projects throughout the facility to assure compliance with standards.

- Providing general care to patients- Preparing equipment and ensuring examination rooms are clean and stocked with required supplies and materials;- Assists physicians from all different departments in procedures relating to Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Dental, Obstetrics and Gynecology and general medicine- Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards;- Maintaining and reviewing patient records, charts and other pertinent information;- Maintaining patient confidentiality.- Applying the principles of health and safety at work, reporting faults, mishaps etc in accordance with legislation and hospital policy- Applying principles of infection control at all times

- Responsible for familiarizing nursing students with the physical set-up, hospital policies and ward routine- Supervised and guided nursing students during nursing procedures like tube feedings, medications and injections (IM, ID, SQ)- Responsible for double-checking students’ documentation- Guided students in formulating and implementing an effective individual nursing care plan
