I set up Adi & Shaun Co. with a friend to achieve a successful career in writing and web design. I have created my own office, and currently, I have a large clientele that I have built up over the past few years. I have gained experience writing not just articles and blog posts, but also webpage content, app content, and I have even ghostwritten several short novels. Most notably, I have written several articles for Creative Digest, as well as a section of lore for the upcoming video game Star Citizen. I have also worked with some of the leading pet companies in the UK to create content for their websites.

I currently write a number of blogs for the Philomena Pet Outfitters London store. The online shop sells a variety of pet accessories, beds, dishes, and toys. The blog is a source of information for topics like pet care, wildlife, and places to walk. For each post that I write, I conduct an outstanding amount of research to ensure that the information is both clear and factually correct. This job is excellent for continuing to use and improve my writing skills and has allowed me to gain a lot of knowledge regarding all domestic animals, their behaviour, and nature.

I was in charge of social media at Philomena London. My duties included ensuring that all social media platforms (such as Facebook and Twitter) were updated several times a day as well as advertising the business to generate more customers. By using social media I was also able to build relationships with other businesses, as well as our customers, through engaging posts and responses to any comments made on them. I resolved customer issues, and ensured that any feedback was passed onto the right people, as well as made sure that the phone was always answered in a timely and professional manner.

I worked both in the books department and the stationery department. My responsibilities included delivery and replenishment of stock as well as stockroom organisation. I also assisted in the weekly store changes, particularly those in the book department (book chart changes etc.). I also helped customers with any queries they might have had about products in the store as well as worked on tills and ensuring the shop floor was as tidy as possible at all times. Customer service is incredibly important at WHSmith, and I ensured our standards are always met, and received praise for my customer service from customers and Head Office on several occasions.

During my time working at McDonald's, I worked on the tills and the lobby. When working on the tills the restaurant was frequently busy, and so I had to work hard in order to put orders through quickly and accurately, as well as collect the food ready to serve to the customer. The goal was to serve a customer in under sixty seconds, and this was the case for me more often than not. Whilst in the lobby, I was able to practice and learn new methods of cleaning and sanitising all areas of the restaurant - from the tables and chairs to the floors. It was key that everything was kept clean throughout the day, and all tables were to be cleaned as soon as a customer had left. I was often alone in the lobby for periods of time, and so I learned to clean quickly whilst maintaining the high standards that were set for me.

Whilst at GAME for my third Christmas season I was charged with working on the shop floor, the tills and in the stock room. Whilst on the shop floor I responded to questions and issues that customers were facing, as well as dealt with complaints that were not severe enough to require managerial assistance. I ensured that the shop floor was always tidy and well organised, as well as aided in pricing and reorganising the store before opening hours to ensure everything was up to Head Office's standards. On the tills, I rung sales through in a quick and orderly manner in order to aid in keeping queues as small as possible over the Christmas sales period. It was also part of my duties on tills to test consoles that were being traded in to ensure they were working fully before they could be sold to us by the customer. When not on tills or the shop floor, I ran the queue, collecting the dummy boxes for any games customers were purchasing and preparing them behind the till in order to keep the queue running smoothly. Whilst working in the stock room I was tasked with processing trade-ins for shelving, with assisting in receiving, unpacking and checking deliveries as well as the general tidy-up and cleanliness of the stock room.

I created the blog in 2011 with a team consisting of two people. The team grew to ten members. We had writers, researchers and technical support. We blogged about video games, consoles and gaming accessories on a regular basis and had 3,000 followers on our Blog, Twitter and Facebook. We were in contact with Curse inc. and EA Games before we shut down (which was due to changes in lifestyle for several team members).My main responsibility was leading the team, as well as ensuring that reviews and articles were being written and published on a regular and pre-scheduled basis. I was also the main communicator between us and the companies that we were in contact with, along with Josh, our website designer, and technical support. I was also in charge of distributing roles to each team member within both the writing as well as the updating of social media.

My work during this Christmas season was primarily on the shop floor with some work on the tills. My main focus was on customer communication and ensuring that each customer I served was satisfied by their purchase as well as the service that they received. I ensured that the shop floor was always tidy and well organised, especially during busy hours when the shop floor became disorganised quickly. I also had roles pricing the products, and ensuring that products were correctly labelled.

During the Christmas season, I worked on the shop floor, tills and did some work in the stock room. My shop floor skills mainly revolved around me being the customer greeter at the front of the store for the majority of my shifts, as well as offering products to customers that may compliment their purchases at the entrance of the store. I engaged with customers, assisting in resolving any issues they may have had as well as escorting them around the store in order to find the product they were seeking. My time on the tills was quite extensive, and I aided in keeping the queue as short as possible during busy hours as well as manning the tills alone when staff was short.

I assisted So Charming in blogging their products, jewellery and accessories, on several websites, including Blogger, WordPress and StumbleUpon. The work I did here aided in my skills as a journalistic writer, as I was able to hone my writing skills so that I could appeal to a wide range of customers. I blogged approximately once to three times a week, depending on the products that were given to me by So Charming and the number of posts requested for each blog.
