Working for a new and exciting provider of learning and development programmes and support to the social care sector.I deliver learning and development sessions to the health and social care sector.The main area of learning that I teach is dementia, from the basic understanding of what dementia is, to how best we can support someone with dementia, their families and carers. My sessions explore the workings of the brain, person centred care and support as well as the importance of meaningful activities and reminiscence work.I also work with individuals with dementia, delivering creative meaningful activities, I think around the five senses whilst creating something meaningful and personal to them.

I support the teacher within the classroom with all aspects of teaching. I also take smaller groups of children who need extra support with their phonics and numeracy work. I support the teacher with assessments.

The Bradford Dementia Group also accredited me to deliver their Person Centred Care for Dementia Training, using some key points from the tool and information around the brain.
