Curriculum Coordinator
CurrentThe Curriculum Coordinator plays a crucial role in collaborating with Behavior Analysts and Teachers to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Support Plans (ISPs) while focusing on curriculum selection/modifications, teaching plans, and student progress monitoring. This position serves as a key liaison with sending school districts and acts as the Melmark representative with Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and Directors of Special Education/Pupil Services. The ideal candidate must possess fluency in evidence-based instructional methods, a comprehensive understanding of various curriculum types, and the ability to adeptly modify them to cater to individual student needs. Coaching and training staff in these procedures are integral aspects of the role. Furthermore, the Curriculum Coordinator must be well-versed in the PA Curriculum Frameworks and Alternate Assessments for PA and other sending states (e.g., NY, NJ).
