I've loved history for as long as I can remember, and I'm grateful to have found a career path that lets me work with history in ways I never imagined. With my background as an urban planner and attorney working in government and nonprofit sectors, I blend practical preservation strategies with a commitment to working with people. I strongly believe: - Planners are most effective when we are part of the community. - Telling the inclusive history of our communities is a critical component of all planning efforts.- Preservation highlights sense of place and gives people an opportunity to see themselves as part of the future of their home through the lens of the past.My preservation focus involves cemetery planning, African American history, and the impact of sea level rise on cultural resources. Feel free to connect with me if you also love history, public history, and preservation planning.
