Responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining a variety of recreation related initiatives for all demographics.Develop and coordinate special events in Naramata - Family Day, Easter, May Day, Canada Day, Boat Race, Halloween, Light Up. Create new programs and recreation opportunities within the community

• Builds meaningful relationships through positive daily interactions with clients, families, colleagues and community partners, including professionals such as speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.• Models sensitivity to the diverse needs of children and families, such as literacy, emotional, sensory, social, behavioural, and cultural differences.• Networks and establishes a solid knowledge of community service providers and seeks permission to contact professional team members to support families' success.• Using the Stepped Care approach, takes the role of the helper and provides direction in the development of family-centered success plans.• Maintains accurate and up to date case management files on each family to detail supports given, monitor progress and follow-ups, and document referrals to services.

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS)- Facilitated events and programs through the (FCSS) provincial program to strengthen the community and family unity, as well as provide generous grant funding to external agencies under the same program. Highlighted programs include - support for a weekly Mom and Tot program, and founded Roots a once a month program for ladies in the community to get together, meet other residents, and learn new fun skills. Events include the annual Pumpkin Hunt and Winter Wonderland. New events included Twinklefest, which included the production of an interactive map of houses in the community that had christmas lights on display. Community Development: Liaise with external community groups to offer support to their board of directors and assist them with grant application. Grant Writing: General grant writer for the municipality seeking funding opportunities for projects the Town was working on. Of note, recipient of a Canada 150 grant in 2015 for the Revitalization of a historic building as the new home of the Crossfield Municipal Library for $433,000. Economic Development: Assist businesses within the community. Bring awareness to the businesses in the municipality and encourage local buying/support. Recreation - Worked with the Crossfield and District Recreation Board to update their Rec Master plan and create a bylaw, as well as assist with needs in the community. Liased with Rocky View County highlighting the broader needs within the county.

Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre delivered recreational opportunities to the residents of Cochrane and surrounding area. The fitness complex offered skating programs, martial arts, fitness, soccer, gymnasium activities, gymnastics, and more. Responsible for bring in new fitness programs, scheduling classes and instructors, general marketing for programs, scheduling skating programs, facilitating a learn to skate and learn to play hockey program, and assisting the children's programs coordinator.

My time at the City of Calgary included working at Southland Leisure Centre, Village Square Leisure Centre, Acadia Pool, Thornhill Aquatic and Fitness Centre, Beltline Aquatic Centre, North and West Area office.Worked in many diverse areas including Day Camp, Skating Instructing, Youth Programs, Volunteer Coordinating, Special events, Fitness, and general programming.

Coordinated skating instructors at various arenas within the North and West regions of the city. Assisted instructors with classes, evaluations, questions, and delivery of programs. Addressed issues that arose with parents and staff.
