I oversee the obtaining and maintaining of the organization’s URAC Accreditations and other accreditations the organization wishes to achieve. I ensure the organization remains in compliance with the URAC standards through developing trainings that are completed annually. I organize and obtain all documents needed for our accreditation submissions and work ensure all documents are in place for the URAC reviews. I also maintain the organization’s policies through annual review, revision, approval, and training by all staff. I oversee the new hire training for Medical Management and ensure new hires are adequately trained to perform their duties. I also assist with the Quality program as needed.

I maintain the policies of the company, train all the incoming new hires, assist with meeting contractual agreements with the insurance companies around Quality Measure (preventative screenings, well visits, immunizations, diabetic testing, etc.), and assist with maintaining our Full URAC accreditation. I also help with other Quality Improvement Projects through assessment, develop strategies and evaluation to make necessary changes where needed.

I coordinate care for Primary Care Physicians by outreaching patients who have been admitted into the hospital or were seen in the ER. I assist with making sure the patient has a follow up appointment with their PCP or specialist, do medication reconciliation, obtain and review medical records, update the PCP via the EMR or through fax, assist with referrals, assist with closing Gaps in Care, work with the Care Manager to obtain information that will assist them in providing Chronic Disease Support and help train new hires. I help gather information and data with regards to URAC accreditation and reconciliations for insurance companies to negotiate better fee schedules for our PCP offices. I am also Secretary of the Health and Wellness Community.

I brought patients back for their scheduled appointments and took vital signs (BP, Temp, Pulse, Height, Weight, Pulse Ox, etc.), medical history, check immunizations to make sure patients were up to date, performed blood draws for lab testing, administered vaccines, injections etc. if needed, initiated office visits in the EMR (Centricity), made and accepted patient phone calls regarding questions, lab results, imaging results, etc. I also handled medication refill request from pharmacies and patients. I performed Spirometry, EKG, Ear Lavage, Strep Testing, Flu Testing, Micro UA’s, Glucose Testing, and RSV testing. I also Triaged phone calls and called in reports to the ER if needed. I have assisted with procedures such as but not limited to mole removals, cyst removals, abscess draining and foreign body removals.
