I built capacity at this small, neighborhood-based non-profit, including setting up an office, increasing membership, and doubling attendance at the West Bank Music Festival, which provides earned revenue for the organization. My interests in small business, diversity, and entrepreneurship provided a great foundation for the challenges of this role, which is based in one of the most diverse zip codes in the country. I expanded my knowledge of local politics, non-profit finance, and working with a board.

Altruitive focused on mission-based for-profit initiatives, earned income non-profits, and cross-sector collaborations. Previous projects include competitive market analysis, earned income strategies, and structuring collaborations.

I worked with Ashoka to develop the Ashoka Solutions Forums in support of building a Twin Cities changemaking community.

As a member of an MBA team, I developed a real-time energy monitoring concept through stakeholder interviews, industry research, and policy review. I conducted structured ideation sessions with participants from utilities, private corporations, non-profits, and academia.

UMM has made significant investments in sustainability, including a wind turbine, biomass gasifier, and hybrid vehicle fleet, and wants to encourage other schools to become more sustainable. I developed and presented a business plan for opening a Sustainability Center on the University of Minnesota- Morris (UMM) campus to leverage these investments. In order to expand their reach, I traveled to China to interview organizations that could be potential partners for UMM.

I continued to support the implantable device development and qualification, while transitioning the project into the larger corporate structure.

At Velocimed, a medical device startup, I lead all quality activities for the development of an implantable cardiac device in a fast-paced environment. I led all complaint investigations and supported submissions to regulatory bodies. The company was purchased by St. Jude Medical.

I provided quality support, including creating test plans and audit-able qualification documents for 15 different product teams of different size and scope. I successfullly maintained communication with manufacturing counterparts in Ireland and Mexico. I also trained over 100 colleaques on the internal quality system.
