Educator, mentor, and leader with 24 years’ experience working in STEM education. I serve as staff advisor of the Society of Peer Mentors at LSU (SPM), a student organization with over 200 members who lead K-12 outreach activities in the community and mentor incoming freshmen through a wide variety of programs including Geaux Engineering. As the college’s outreach liaison, I assist faculty with grant proposals and coordinate many K-12 events such as ENGage LSU and LASM Engineering Day. Prior to working for the College of Engineering, I was the outreach coordinator for the LSU Department of Biological Sciences and the Science Education Curator for the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. I have led over 175 workshops for K-12 teachers, delivered 35 conference presentations, and published 14 peer-reviewed papers on engineering education. When I'm not working, I enjoy primitive camping, listening to music, and reading.
