I've been in the workforce for over ten years now, and while the majority of that time has been spent in the retail industry, I have done my share of dabbling. From food service to hospitality, office assistant to machine operator, I have picked up skills along the way that I have been able to put to good use in both my personal and professional life. I like adding to that skillset in new and interesting ways - for example, my experience as a machine operator in a medical supply plant has given me great attention to detail, which helped me later as a bookseller and the inventory management challenges that go along with that. My six month stint as a teacher's aide for two-year-olds taught me patience with people and the ability to remain calm in volatile situations.
