It also was necessary to develop a software management system and a software integration plan for the increasing number of software engineers working at the same product.Thanks to my contribution in the knowledge and technical insight regarding communication systems, high level and machine languages, real time embedded operating system, hardware control, phyiscal control systems, software development and system integration, we were able to make a succesful and reliable system of this product.As a subsequently experienced system architect, I was able to contribute to the design of an improved hardware and software architecture in an early design stage of a next project, and also to contribute to an improvement of the development proces for the control of our products.Software & System Quality TestingAt the development of complex mechatronic (physical) systems, the testing of these systems, and the related error analysis, is one of the most important and time consuming processes.With my knowledge of, and experience with all the aspects of the function control within a printer, I was able to find, analyse and solve a lot of problems in an early stage within the test team. Out of my responsibility in the FMECA (Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis) sessions, I was able to develop various new ways of error diagnostics and process parametering, and implemented these in software.
