As the Principal Tree Officer within the Planning Department at Tandridge District Council I am responsible for the day to day management of the tree section within the department, providing consultancy advice in relation to trees and landscaping on development sites, and for discharging the duties and powers of the Council in relation to Tree Preservation Orders (TPO) and trees in Conservation Areas (CA). These duties include the provision of expert witness evidence, where required in both the planning process and in relation to TPO/CA enforcement. Additional duties include providing advice to the public and the Council regarding amenity tree management and high hedges legislation.

Carried out tree surveys, undertook arboricultural works and supervised teams working on large local authority and utility supplier grounds maintenance contracts, with experience in the management and maintenance of sports fields, fine turf and planting schemes - including trees, hedges and bedding.
