Day to day tasks revolve around:1. Briefing the senior on upcoming cases on a day-to-day basis. Researching on a plethora of laws, including but not limited to, Criminal Law (CrPC, IPC, Evidence), Civil (CPC, Specific Relief), Matrimonial Law, Property law (Delhi Rent control, TPA). 2. Engaging in comprehensive discussions regarding the factual matrix of the cases and the application of various penal provisions and the provisional laws governing the same. Additionally, deliberating upon the significance of precedent cases, scrutinizing and applying pertinent legal precedents to fortify the arguments presented. 3. Attending court proceedings in various district courts in Delhi and the Delhi High Court, all the while assisting in preparation of cases, including drafting notices, plaint, written submissions, applications and replies under the guidance of seniors. 4. Participating in client meetings, observing and understanding how to elicit information from them, how to distinguish relevant and irrelevant information and to tackle emotional clients. 5. Observing and discussing cross-examination techniques with senior lawyers, and participating in mediation sessions, independently and otherwise. Practicing mock cross-examination for case preparation. 6. Participating in various debates and discussions on contemporary legal and social-cultural issues, understanding the craft of framing well-structured arguments, supported by factual evidence and data.Practical Applications: 1. Represented a client in a matrimonial dispute, presenting compelling arguments pertaining to child custody and visitation rights, ultimately securing a favorable outcome in the form of granted visitation rights.2. Seeking Adjournments and dates, while making minor submissions or briefing the judge on the facts of the matter.
