Navigating the legal terrain isn't easy. I should know - I guide my clients to successful closures of legal matters for a living. There are complex documents to decode, zero-sum negotiations to hunt bargains from, pedantic regulations to comply with and compelling legal strategies to craft. Compounding the situation oftentimes are challenges such as lack of complete information to make efficient decisions, battle-hardened legal counsel on the other side of the table, and crushing timelines.Luckily, I love doing this.I am excited to assist my clients to chart the path of least resistance to their objectives. Occasionally, this involves exploring beyond the "known territory" of legal, resulting into deal structures that unconventional yet more efficient, contracts that are carefully calibrated to preempt risks, and amicable out-of-court settlements of disputes that save time. I design and advocate solutions that deliver impactful results for my clients in areas which matter. A client of mine once recounted his experience with me as, "A good lawyer will advise us about whether we can take a certain action; a great one will advise us on how to do it". I moonlight as a mentor to start-ups. I assist young businesses design viable business models and counsel the founders on matters of law, finance, tax and management. To see my younger clients achieve technical and commercial success is a moment of personal pride and is the fuel for my enthusiasm.When not working, I am probably spending time with my family, catching up on reading, re-watching StarTrek: TNG, or practising improving my chess.
