CERN originated nuclear imaging tech - rescue/turnaround. Suspect we saw the Higgs boson, or something like it, first :)The IP was subject to a kind of uncertainty principle and tunnelled from CERN to University Helsinki to Simage to iX to Ajat to Xcounter and Siemens. Amazing.

Chris Flockhart and I founded company as Dimensional Imaging 1995, 3D imaging technology - saw it on Star Trek and thought we could make it. Turned out it was a two pipe problem, although won two SMART awards for it.Took public IPO on LSE in 1997 with support of 3i and Amadeus. Interesting... The technology mysteriouly snuck off to the USA and was reborn as an entity that lists itself as 'the world’s leading developer of high-precision, ultra-fast 3D surface imaging technology', whatever that means.
