Camper King is the headline brand within a group of companies supplying the leisure vehicles market.My role here was to assist the owner of the business to develop a new strategy for the group and instigate transformational change that will see the Group triple in revenue over the next 5 years. I restructured balance sheet to release £1.4m of cash (23%). Improved cashflow by £250k per month. Developed and initiated a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan to unify a fragmented group of leisure vehicle manufacturing companies, creating multiple exit opportunities. Collaborated with the Chairman to position the group for a successful exit. Led financial and organizational restructuring to enhance operational efficiency and align company strategies with the overarching vision. Implemented tailored growth strategies for each company, driving significant growth and preparing for the next strategic phase. Established cross-functional teams to deliver key services across the group.

Headquartered near Munich with significant operations in the US, China and India, revenues over €30m and nearly 300 employees. During my time with voxeljet the company was NASDAQ listed. At voxeljet Group, I established and led a new global division, driving it from inception to contributing 35% of Group revenues within four years. Starting with a blank slate, I developed a comprehensive strategy to transform laboratory-level technology into a commercial product portfolio. I spearheaded critical commercial partnerships, directed R&D efforts, specified the product mix, and built a robust go-to-market strategy. Additionally, I trained sales teams and created a cross-functional matrix structure to support global commercialization. The division's first product became the fastest-selling in the Group's history, and subsequent products attracted orders from some of the world's most recognized consumer and industrial brands.

Transformed a struggling subsidiary from a £3.5 million loss to a £4 million profit within four years, subsequently elevating it to the third largest region with the highest net margin globally. This achievement was driven by developing and implementing a new regional strategy, aligned with the overarching group strategy, to which I also contributed. As the Government's lead technical and sector advisor for major inward investment projects, I was responsible for the global automotive sector, with a particular focus on China and Europe. In this role, I successfully secured over £550 million in investment for the UK automotive sector during 2012/13.

As Business Manager for the Motorsport Academy, I led a team of consultants advising motorsport businesses on technology, innovation, manufacturing, business improvement, training and skills, export, and diversification. Over the course of a five-month project, we assisted over 100 companies in enhancing their business performance, brokered more than 50 collaborations between universities and industry, and facilitated over 100 knowledge transfer activities. Additionally, my role encompassed providing business consultancy to a range of clients, from start-ups to multinational corporations.

Through the development of both technical solutions and commercial pipeline James delivered an increase in company valuation from £500k to £2m in 10 months.

I was responsible for ensuring the UK had access to the latest global technologies in the engineering and materials sectors.
