My company provides strategy development and management support services to organisations which need to better understand and/or reshape their data processing activities.In my current roles,I support the Qiy Foundation, an organization that develops privacy-friendly digital ecosystems for the exchange of personal attributes under the control of the individual in a way that is effective, socially acceptable and economically viable.I offer strategic and managerial advise to clients of Hooghiemstra & Partners in order to facilitate the transformations caused by the rapid digitization of the world in which we live, with the goal of finding the right balance between technological capabilities and legal restrictions. In this role I cooperated in the drafting of a bill on the electronic exchange of data in healthcare and I advised a major trade association on the relationship between the GDPR and cloud services. My current focus is on the creation of a trust framework for the exchange of personal data managed by governmental institutions.As a member of the legal working group, I was involved in the development of the government-sponsored MedMij system for the exchange of medical data of patients. And I participated in the development of the governance model and the legal embedding of the Qiy Scheme: a governance model, rules & regulations and technical protocols for the exchange of personal data under the control of the individual, developed by the Qiy Foundation in 2014.My USP: Suggestions for time-saving practical solutions to complex issues at the intersection of technology and law.
