Fine Jewelry Authentication Lead
CurrentThe primary responsibility of the Fine Jewelry Authentication Lead is to create content for the gemological team, providing educational information and ongoing updates about the specialty equipment. The lead is the functional point of contact for maintenance and related topics concerning specialty equipment used in the gem labs.Work under the Fine Jewelry Authentication Manager to produce the authentication and technical projects based on the department’s needs.Learn and disseminate training for any new releases, upgrades, new programs Co-create and develop additional training and brand guides for Gemologists. Partner with managers and Learning & Development staff to create training plans.Write SOP documentation for all equipment used in the Gemological Lab.Coach and train Gemologist Authenticators on how to use the equipment to maximize its use.Assist with implementing new authentication technology features related to Fine Jewelry Authentication.Analyze the device data from and create a reference guide on how it should influence their conclusions of Authenticity.Collaborate with marketing and act as a SME for blogs and social media postsBe the point of contact between the Gem Lab and equipment vendors, troubleshoot equipment issues, assist in compliance. Provide feedback about employees’ progress and work quality with managerSpend a minimum of 50 % (20 hours) of the weekly shift authenticating in-house/showrooms products to continue learning and be up-to-date.Ensure all gemologists have all the equipment needed to do their job properly. Create a checklist of all tools for on-boardingOccasional Travel
