I accomplished this monumental task by delegating work to other interns over the summer and coordinating our efforts.I also reviewed invoices primarily for outside consulting services. My assignment was to assess if the expenses URS was billed for were allowable under our government contracts. If they were found to not be allowable, then URS cannot bill the government for those expenses. This process helps prevent future audits by ensuring that the government is billed correctly the first time.My last assignment at URS, now AECOM, was to assess and organize files for an office relocation. The Government Compliance Division alone had over 170 boxes filled with documents, and I also helped Finance, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable Divisions organize their files for the move. -
