Worked largely with our HealtheIntent Analytics EDW writing Vertica SQL queries, creating data sets, and creating data models. I then assisted other analysts or worked myself to create the presentation layer, primarily using Tableau. As in my analyst positions before this, I was still involved in using Business Objects to maintain and create new reports when needed.Part of my role involved advising analysts on how best to use our data, Tableau, or Business Objects. As such, I hosted a weekly, internal training session on those topics and any others needed or that came up through questions.I was heavily involved in the strategizing and planning for our data culture. Along with a core team, I developed the data request process from submission to fulfillment. As co-chair of the Data Request Management Committee I was in constant contact with all things data at AUHS.I was a member of Employee Advisory Council during this role.I was a member of the IT Employee Engagement Committee (founded Nov. 2021) during this role.

During this brief transitional period from operations to IT, my work did not differ that much from when I was a Business Intelligence Analyst for Care Facilitation. I was still heavily involved in writing new reports primarily using Business Objects and presentation layer work in Tableau. I was not functioning as a System Analyst Programmer in this role.

I assisted Care Facilitation leadership with all data needs. Largely through Business Objects, and when more robust visualizations or analysis were needed, Excel or Tableau. I fulfilled roughly 150 data requests a year while a Business Intelligence Analyst. These included routine reports, special requests, audits, data visualization, and process diagramming. Under Care Facilitation, I supported care coordinators, social workers, bed management, the transfer center, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), our resource team, and our UR Committee. I have also assisted other departments with their data needs to foster a collaborative environment.I worked regularly with some of our software vendors (primarily Cerner and 3M) on troubleshooting and improvements to make sure our reporting is as accurate as possible.Major Data Projects:- Patient Throughput Dashboard: Provided insight into various throughput metrics such as length of stay, discharge time of day, and time from discharge order to discharge broken down by unit, service line, or physician.- Care Facilitation Dashboard: Provided insight into Care Facilitation operations including care coordination, clinical documentation improvement, utilization management, and social work for productivity metrics and compliance on requirements such as providing MOON letters within specified time periods.- ETL Processes: Utilized Tableau Prep Builder to automate combining EHR (Cerner), financial (Strata), and coding (3M) data for Care Facilitation.

I mainly assisted professors with undergraduate classes by proctoring exams, grading them, and reporting their grades. I also helped the University by planning events including the 2016 International Review of Finance (IRF) Conference.

The group I worked in handles several different things for Supply Chain Management at SRNS. Part of what the group does is troubleshoot software issues with PeopleSoft and ensure compatibility with updates or modifications. Another major part of what the group does is track data and report it in a clear and actionable method to various managers within Supply Chain Management. I also worked on standardizing some metrics they use and provided instruction so more than one person can understand how to produce the metric. In addition, I worked with others in the group to create training related to PeopleSoft for users outside of the technical services group. I conducted this training in several workshops to over 70 employees.

I assisted customers mainly with shipping solutions both domestic and international through UPS, USPS, or DHL and with ensuring correct packaging for their items. In addition, I helped customers with document creation and printing. I also served customers as a SC Notary Public.(This position overlapped with the Mailbox Manager position I held at the same store until I passed on those duties to another employee in preparation for my move to Charlotte the following year.)For a year, I was the store's Business Networking International (BNI) representative until my class schedule conflicted with the meeting time. At BNI I met weekly with local business owners. The core principle behind BNI is to mutually refer business to one another. I also gave a presentation on our services to educate the members and met one-on-one with many of them.

As the mailbox manager, I oversaw the private mailboxes at the store. This included setting up new accounts, troubleshooting the inbound mail, and overseeing the accounts receivable. These responsibilities were in addition to the work I did as a sales associate.

I worked primarily in the Government Compliance Department of URS-GMOS as an internal auditor. I worked on correcting ten years of incurred cost submissions, specifically information for the Schedule I. This involved creating a database in Microsoft Access to house all the cumulative billings for each project and working in Oracle to retrieve the data required. I accomplished this monumental task by delegating work to other interns over the summer and coordinating our efforts.I also reviewed invoices primarily for outside consulting services. My assignment was to assess if the expenses URS was billed for were allowable under our government contracts. If they were found to not be allowable, then URS cannot bill the government for those expenses. This process helps prevent future audits by ensuring that the government is billed correctly the first time.My last assignment at URS, now AECOM, was to assess and organize files for an office relocation. The Government Compliance Division alone had over 170 boxes filled with documents, and I also helped Finance, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable Divisions organize their files for the move.

I worked as an editor in both Word documents and Excel files. In Word, I checked feasibility studies for grammar, consistency, and accuracy. In Excel, I worked on the financial analysis for the feasibility studies by building financial models, as well as simplifying existing models by utilizing better Excel formulas.I also did research for the feasibility studies. This included things like: population and demographics for different areas, government regulations, equipment needs and prices, locations for new businesses, and other information.
