A native of El Paso, TX, Andrea Elizabeth Acosta graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in media advertising and a minor in creative writing. Prior to graduating in 2014, Andrea worked in PR as well as reporting on important issues that happened in the community. She was the editor of the entertainment section at the local newspaper, The Prospector Daily, where she covered news topics as well as interviewing musicians, artists and comedians, such as recording artist, Aubrey Mikel, and comedian Anjelah Johnson. While attending college, she has also worked in the College of Engineering at UTEP and the University Communications, as a staff writer and the media relations assistant. She produced stories that dealt with the research findings and lab experiments, of printing tissue from a 3D printer, and nano-engineering technology, that highlighted the college's state-of-the-art facilities. After traveling to Italy to further her studies in her field, and expand her knowledge in the concentration of global strategies communications, Andrea interned in local non profit organizations, such as the El Paso Downtown Management and the PBS station, as the Public Relations supervisor. Working in the healthcare sector in 2015, as the Marketing Director for Smiles Center for Kids. There, she was in charge of managing the company social media platforms; as well as creating content and innovative initiatives within the community. In 2018, Andrea decided she wanted to make a transformative change in her community, and this is how her marketing business, Media Unleashed, was born.Currently, Andrea is the Owner of Media Unleashed, a marketing boutique business dedicated to shine light on all the amazing small businesses emerging in the borderland and across the U.S. Through the use of strategic marketing and branding, Andrea is passionate to unleash the potential of several businesses and help small owners and entrepreneurs, like herself, grow socially across any and all platforms!Andrea continues to work passionate entrepreneurs and business owners, online and in-person. Her clients are all unique and distinct in their own niche, from Real Estate owners, Home Builders to Restauranteurs, Bar, Juicery, and luxurious ballroom owners.
