I am a Software Engineer with extensive experience in the IT and media industries, and a first class honours Masters in Library and Information Studies. My most recent position involved the management of a complex (500k+ term) keyword taxonomy to support image and video ingestion/retrieval within a DAM system for a global media company. I carried out mining and analysis on large sets of customer search and asset metadata in order to support business, search system and user interface decision making. I wrote guidelines, authored and delivered training materials, and was involved in testing and scoping out feature requirements for internal tools and the user website. I was a key driver in introducing customer search trend analysis within my team, which helped to inform important strategy decisions and process streamlining.
