I am an editor, writer, and educator with experience spanning print publications, independent websites, and digital outlets for major magazines. A former senior editor at New York magazine and NYMag.com, I edited news, features, and service packages for Grub Street and the fashion blog that preceded The Cut. Today I share the skills I developed in the professional world with students at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where I am a professor of journalism associate dean for academic affairs.
