As a Teaching Assistant under the guidance of Professor Julie Ann Crommett at Georgia Tech, I had the privilege of contributing significantly to the success of the seminar, 'The Role of Inclusivity in Storytelling and Story Creation.' In this unique role, I:-Orchestrated the execution of class logistics, encompassing both physical and virtual environments.-Collaborated closely with industry leaders to prepare panelists and guest speakers, demonstrating discretion and effective communication.-Assisted Professor Crommett in evaluating student assignments, tracking progress, and monitoring participation.-Actively facilitated small group breakouts to foster student engagement and interaction.-Maintained a continuous feedback loop, providing insights on what resonated with students and opportunities for improvement.This immersive experience not only deepened my understanding of storytelling but also offered valuable networking opportunities with accomplished professionals in DEI, entertainment, and digital media (e.g., Kiri Hart, Jermaine Johnson, Carlos López Estrada). I am committed to advancing diversity and inclusivity in storytelling and entertainment.

• Spearheaded diversity initiatives at Moody Magazine, overseeing the recruitment of a diverse cadre of individuals across all teams.• Orchestrated open forums addressing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) matters, fostering a space for a broad spectrum of voices.• Wrote a personal feature addressing critical topics such as sexuality, mental health, trauma, and relationships, contributing to meaningful conversations.

As a Sexual Health Intern & Educator, I focus on empowering high school students to make responsible choices regarding their sexuality. This role has greatly expanded my worldview and boosted my confidence in speaking up for important issues. My primary goals are to ensure that teens have access to comprehensive sexual health education and to promote solidarity among my peers, especially those of color. Responsibilities included:-Facilitated discussions on critical issues affecting BIPOC communities and women, with a strong emphasis on sexual health.-Organized and attended Teen Clinics for local students.-Wrote Sex-Ed curriculum; presented to NYC Department of Education.-Participated in and coordinated community events focused on sexual health, systemic issues (i.e. racism), and cultural history.-Actively engaged with the education center to support its initiatives.-Created content for Planned Parenthood’s official social media pages.
