Aekta Kapoor is the founder and editor of eShe (eshe.in), a media platform based out of New Delhi that amplifies women’s voices and stories about our shared humanity. eShe hosts peace summits led by women from around the world to discuss solutions for peace in South Asia, and has launched the nonprofit initiative South Asia Union.eShe magazine was media partner for the sixth FemmeQ Summit in Strasbourg 2023, the SABERA Awards 2020 and 2021, The Economic Times SDGs Summit 2020, and Women Economic Forum 2017. It has been ranked among the top 30 women’s magazines in the world by content aggregator Feedspot. Aekta features in and as 'An Unsuitable Girl', ep.1 of the web series 'Love Storiyaan' on Amazon Prime. The docu-drama is produced by Karan Johar and Somen Mishra, and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Hardik Mehta.Aekta is a founding member at Southasia Peace Action Network (Sapan), and is co-founder and editorial director at Accurite Data Solutions Inc., based in San Jose.She was mentor for The Do School's Industry Disruptor 2020 by WeEmpowerAsia, UN Women, in India and Europe, and for the NITI Aayog-UN Investor Consortium for Women Entrepreneurs 2020. In the past, she has been the editor of prestigious publications and websites, mostly in the luxury, lifestyle and fashion space.She was the launch editor of Fashion101.in (Dainik Bhaskar Group), India's first multi-lingual fashion news and celebrity style portal, available in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Prior to that, she was part of the launch teams of Marie Claire (Outlook Group) and Harper's Bazaar Bride (India Today Group), and was the editor of monthly lifestyle magazines Atelier, Diva and Wedding Vows.As an independent journalist, her pieces on lifestyle, fashion and women's issues appear in newspapers and magazines such as Open, The Economic Times, The Hindu and Mint Lounge, besides news websites like News18, Newslaundry CNBCTV18 and Money Control. In 2016, she received the Women Economic Forum award for Iconic Innovative Leaders in Media.She has been a speaker at several forums including guest lectures at IIM Ahmedabad, and several other media and fashion colleges in Delhi, Jaipur and Bhopal. She has authored the spiritual memoir '100 Paths' (2017) and has edited the anthology of short stories 'Everything Changed After That: 25 Women, 25 Stories' (2021). Certified in hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming and Pranic healing, she also facilitates fun, empowering sessions and conducts guided group meditations at eShe’s trademarked workshops Shine Your Light.
