I focus my practice on representing individuals, businesses, and public entities in a wide variety of legal matters. Since joining Coots, Henke & Wheeler, I regularly represent businesses in contract formation and negotiation, prosecuting or defending against personal injury claims (such as injuries resulting from a slip and fall), subrogation claims, and exercising creditors’ rights. I also focus on representing individuals in a number of issues involving real estate, including negotiating sales of realty, landlord/tenant disputes, quiet title and adverse possession claims, and disputes involving commercial leases. In addition, I regularly represent public entities and employees in defending against civil rights and personal injury claims. I represent police departments and individual officers against excessive force and false arrest claims. I have also defended public entities such as towns, cities, and counties and their employees from claims resulting from regulatory action, land use, and premises liability. I grew up in Hamilton County, and I enjoy the opportunity to practice law near my childhood home. When I am not practicing law, I enjoy spending time as a swim coach with Southeastern Swim Club and Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana.
