Led a team of 6 software engineers that developed various Java and JavaCard applications relating to SIM/smartcards. As the first foreign Software Engineer to be placed in this global company’s Smartcard Tools Team in Beijing, developed desktop applications for management and customization of SIM cards. Key Accomplishments:- Developed over 20 reusable software components for the company’s first-generation smartcard software suite. Integrated 8 release versions of this suite. - Brought into Beijing several technologies from the Paris HQ where the original Tools Team was located.- Headed the UI task force that improved the GUI design of all projects transferred from Paris HQ, by streamlining the usage flow and focusing on simplicity and intuitiveness. - Doubled the development efficiency of the company’s next-generation software suite, by assembling an automated overnight-build platform.- Successfully delivered the next-gen suite (as product integrator) in time for the company-sponsored SIMagine 2003 competition where it was to be used as standard platform.
