I have always had a passion for engineering, beginning 12 years ago when I first joined a robotics team. My interest in engineering only grew with time as I gained more and more experience on a FIRST Robotics team. Throughout my time on the team, I gained a valuable range of experience in the design process, public speaking, leadership, and teamwork. I enjoyed the mechanical engineering side of robotics but knew I wanted to involve the field of medicine in my future too. When I discovered the wide range of applications in biomedical engineering, I knew I was a perfect fit. Now, I am currently double majoring in my two passions, mechanical engineering and biomedical engineering at Penn State University. While my background includes diverse experiences in seemingly unrelated fields, each has prepared me to be a successful engineer. I have cultivated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills from all my experiences. Most importantly, I have learned teamwork and how to push through failure, both of which will assist me in contributing to any part of engineering. I am currently seeking an internship where I can put my experience to use. I am eager to contribute to meaningful projects, embrace new challenges, and further develop as both a mechanical and biomedical engineer.
