I joined the company as a Guarantee Vision Engineer and began to operate as an engineer in charge of HD football OBs and act as a second guarantee on the more ad-hoc OBs such as UFC and WWE.As a guarantee engineer I was responsible for the running of the technical side of a broadcast as a whole, from the initial specification of equipment, through setup and into operation of the broadcast on the day.Through working regularly on HD football, I started working on UHD football and other UHD OBs such as Royal events. Since then I have been guaranteeing UHD football and using the first generation UHD fleet on other HD work.I also had the opportunity to work on the integration of NEP’s first generation IP trucks and have since taken them to do HD and UHD work around the globe. Building on this I have integrated and developed IP flypacks and taken them to major sporting events, including Wimbledon and the Rugby World Cup, and am hoping to continue similar work going forward as well as taking on more of a planning and management role of NEP’s engineering staff and technology as well as strategy in training and development. -
