Senior Project Engineer
CurrentSPACECRAFT STRUCTURES ANALYSIS (2500+ hours)Created and maintained spacecraft system-level and component-level finite element models through multiple design iterations. Created and integrated component reduced-order models (a.k.a. superelements, Hurty/Craig-Bampton models). Performed structural analyses including linear static, nonlinear static, random vibration, transient, buckling, and thermal expansion. Failure analyses including metallic stress, composite stress, bolted joint, stability, and fatigue. GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT ANALYSIS (1500+ hours)Finite element modeling and analysis of over thirty unique mechanical fixtures for spacecraft integration and testing. Varying analysis types including linear static, nonlinear static, buckling, sine, random, and transient. Failure analyses including stress, bolted joint, welded joint, and stability.AIR VEHICLE ANALYSIS (500+ hours)Structural/aeroelastic modeling and analysis for several DoD and commercial programs. Varying analysis types including aircraft flutter, divergence, loads, test-model correlation & model updating, and analysis-driven structural design.
